Synopsis
Capybaras, the world's largest rodent, live in large families numbering as many as 20 members in the Ibera Wetlands, northeast of Argentina.
Female capybaras raise the babies together as a group. They breastfeed offspring belonging to the entire herd evenly, a practice rarely seen in the animal kingdom. Also in the water, they form a wall around the babies to protect them from their most fearsome predators -- alligators. Capybaras may appear adorable and friendly to one another, but the males engage in oft repeated fights against each other to prove their dominance.
This episode unveils the unknown lives and strong familial bonds of a capybara family living in the wetlands.
