Synopsis
Ruaha National Park, located in the eastern part of Tanzania, is the country's largest nature reserve. Throughout the year, this area undergoes drastic transformations following the changes of seasons from wet to dry. In the rainy season, the riverbanks are covered by thriving plants, which support the dense concentration of wild animals such as elephants, hippos, and lions. In the dry season however, the river dries up and only few plants can be found. But the animals choose to stay despite such harsh and parched conditions. Why? The secret lies behind the unique characteristics of certain plants.
This episode captures dynamic images of the amazing relationships between animals and plants in this drastically changing natural environment of East Africa.
