The Magic of a Dish: New York Top Chef Goes to Japan

The master from New York meets foods nurtured in Japan's varied regions

New York chef David Bouley has made a name for himself, and for his food. His interpretation of French cuisine has come to be called "Bouley Magic." Now in his 60s, Bouley embarks on a journey to sample local cooking across Japan in the hopes of creating the ultimate healthy cuisine. The plan is to take what he's learned and create a magical dish that will move dining in a new direction.
