WILDLIFE -- It's Hot Out There: The Regal Horned Lizards of the Sonoran Desert

In the Sonoran Desert of North America, strange-shaped cacti cover the vast wild land. Residing in the shades is a great variety of reptiles, but the horned lizards and their many arsenals for defense stand out. To fend off coyotes and rattlesnakes, these relatively small, 10-centimeter-long lizards have developed an awesome weapon: squirting blood from their eyes. This episode focuses on the small lizards that use surprising tactics to survive in a desert filled with dangerous predators.
