WILDLIFE -- The Ocean's Gentle Giant: Whale Shark

Large numbers of giant whale sharks, which can grow to a length of 13 meters, converge in Donsol Bay at Luzon Island in the Philippines. These fish are thought to live independently in the open sea, but there are still many unanswered questions about their way of life - such as why they congregate in this bay. To track their activity area, a research crew attached a transmitter to a whale shark's body. As a result, they were able to learn the range of its movements and its migration route. With exciting scenes of the whale sharks' predatory behavior and their fascinating relationship with small fish known as shark suckers, The Ocean's Gentle Giant reveals the true face of the whale shark.
