Behind the Radiation Line

Norio Kimura was living in Okuma town, "ground zero" of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, where Reactors 1 to 4 are located. Three members of his family went missing following the tsunami, but the unprecedented nuclear accident made his search for them extremely difficult. It also severely impaired the dignity of the memorial services for the deceased. Three months after the earthquake, a Self-Defense Forces search team found the bodies of first his father and then his wife. However, a half-year later, Kimura's daughter, an elementary school student, still remained missing and he continued his search for her. The program focuses on the reality of one of the few "triple victims" hit by the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident.
