One Day in a Radioactive Town

On April 24th, about a month after the earthquake and tsunami, an NHK camera crew went into Namie town which is in a restricted zone within a 20 kilometer-radius of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The camera crew accompanied town officials who were searching for the missing. What once was a town has been transformed into large amounts of rubble, with livestock left abandoned and many people still unaccounted for. This program documents one day experienced by the crew in Namie town, which was hit by the double blows of tsunami destruction and radioactive contamination.
