Synopsis
Thalidomide was the cause of 3,000 babies born with serious disabilities. Once sold in over 40 countries around the world, many mothers took the drug during pregnancy with harrowing effects. Today, those babies are in their 50's.
In Japan, the latest survey on thalidomide victims has shown a number of disorders that were not previously known.
This award-winning documentary re-examines the harmful effects of the thalidomide drug, and reveals the strength of the victims as they face their lifelong struggles.
