Finding Independence at 38

Synopsis
"I" am a 38-year-old male who has been living at home dependent on my parents until now. But my father got laid off without any redundancy payment, and I am now forced to move out and live on my own. Unable to figure out what I should do, my parents have finally lost their temper. What does it take to live on my own? Am I able to find a proper job and a place to live? Would I be able to truly find independence!?
This unique documentary takes a close look at contemporary Japanese life from a microscopic view. Using the method of self-documentary, where the director films his own life, the program reveals the relationships between the subject (the director) and others, exposing the subject's true self.
