Located near the fishing port, the district of Minami-machi in Kesennuma City included the city's main dining and shopping district. Once filled with restaurants, pubs, and shops, this district was devastated by the earthquake and tsunami. By putting up makeshift stores, the owners of businesses destroyed by the disaster are trying to revive the once-thriving area. But with everything they owned having been swept away by the tsunami and with no capital, will they be able to reopen their businesses? Caught in the maelstrom of the town's recovery plan and interpersonal relationships, the local men are experiencing emotional turmoil and struggling against many obstacles. The camera captures their energetic spirits as they aim to restore their community.
